The Hollywood Collection
United States
Приєднався 12 чер 2015
For nearly a century, Hollywood has captivated and influenced generation after generation of moviegoers. Its magic has left an indelible imprint on every culture with a movie projector. Originally broadcast on PBS, HBO/Cinemax, TNT, A&E, Lifetime, and Bravo, this is one of the most comprehensive collections of biographies and cinema retrospectives ever compiled, a spectacular treasury of 32 revealing biographies of Hollywood’s most beloved stars. These biographies, some narrated by the stars themselves, include interviews with friends, family members and colleagues, as well as clips from their most memorable films, and in some cases, rare home movies.
“Over 350 actors, writers, directors, producers, make-up people, publicists, agents, and family members all gave of themselves to help make these shows possible. This was the way it was in Hollywood in its classic era and these were the stars that captured us.” - Gene Feldman, producer/director of The Hollywood Collection.

One of Hollywood's most enduring and popular stars draws on his memories to tell the amusing and touching story of how it was when the studios ruled supreme, and how a shy and inarticulate boy from a broken family could rise to super stardom.

Is everybody gonna just ignore that she was a devil behind closed doors? She was quite the actress if she fooled everybody else thinking she was such a regal woman. But in reality she'd sell her children down the river for a part. I don't buy her schtiik. She's as phony as they come.
Here are no more Gary Cooper's anymore. And that is the saddest thing.
She was a wonderful actress. She had a hard childhood and did drink a lot. There is a lot of speculation on what happened to Christine and her brother. Why if she treated them all the same did she not give Christine any money after her death like the twins or her brother either. Explain that one. Temperamental yes U believe Christine was jealous but also the oldest and the twins did not see everything. They were much too young,

Hilarious as Michael Caine describes the class categorization in the UK as I've never heard before: lower middle class/upper poor people. I wished that the UK didn't still have so much poverty,
There are no pros to Capital Punishment. Innocent people are often murdered using that procedure. One person killed in error is one too many. But there have been thousands. Civilized countries have figured that out and abolished that nonsensical piece of lunacy. It's state sanctioned murder.
"All American Boy"? Is that a good thing?
Even people who disliked her - and there were many in Hollywood - have described her as "one hundred percent professional." She was incredibly hard working, never late, always prepared. If nothing else, she should be respected for what she achieved by her endless efforts.
Gosh Julia Roberts looked so young in Steel Magnolias
He was involved with amy semple mcphersons crusades In his early years!
A beautiful heartfelt honest and loving portrayal of a magnificent woman Thank you for posting God bless you Ingrid
Steve was a searcher of meaning. He was at peace towards the end of short life.
Who on earth are these people? So why should we care about their opinions? We need to know that! Where are their names? So many are missing, and others are only finally shown near the end.
Ramses the 2nd was the greatest Egyptian Pharoah by far. DeMille was right. Nobody could play him but Yul Brynner. ❤
Don't forget, he was in basically a chick flick, but a great movie anyway... Love With the Proper Stranger. 😅
REST in Peace, Great Man 🙏, Wonderful ACTOR 💞🙏,,, Heavenly PEACE 🙏,,,We enjoyed so much by your Parsonage,,,, Great 🎥 movies and one of the best actors in Hollywood ✅👍🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏

I liked Robert Mitchum very much. A very good actor. A natural Actor. Very Handsome & Sexy. Could play any role above all that He was a good Family Man with his Wife & Children. RIP
Jack and Walter. The best. I could and have watched the odd couple like 20 times.
I loved almost everything he did. But my favorite was the front page when in the end he try’s to get hildy back and tells a cop to stop his train. And says the son of bitch stole my watch.

Грегори Пек лучший!
The king of COOL
No. He's not. Ever heard him seriously attempt any sort of accent, Austrian, Bostonian? It's a joke. That's in addition to his voice being weak, mush-mouthed and lacking in any sort of variety. Does he transform into different people? No. Not remotely. Did Quentin Tarantino hand him a role that would have landed anyone an Oscar. Yes. I can think of at least another dozen actors that would have been better in the role. Take away his looks and he never would have had a movie career in the first place. It's that simple.
He happens to be a natural major talent. His choice of roles is excellent.
I met Cary Grant at a store called Fedco which is now Target. He was very nice and very kind to my little daughter. She probably said Hi first. In his typical Cary Grant accent, he said, “Well hi yourself.”
Will always respect his contributions and generosity after Katrina.
I will never respect the way he treats his children, all of whom have dropped his last name.
Amazing documentary
What a gorgeous documentary. Thank you so very much.
He was bad to the bone 💜
He was a Tuff. He was a great actor.💜
